PRODUCTION OPERATOR II/WEEKEND SHIFT
Job Summary
Primarily responsible for preparing items to be processed in a manufacturing environment using basic equipment, tools, or processes.
Requires maintaining established productivity and accuracy standards.
Essential Job Functions *
• Prepares Items for Processing by being responsible for receipt inspection and preparation of parts to be processed and ensuring assigned equipment is in good working condition.
• Production Work.
Activities could include: “Racking” screws by placing screws into a rack either manually or via machine; “Separating” and/or glues foam material; “Dumping” racked screws into bins for further processing; Assembling and packing various hardware per directives; pulling the correct product from the stock area and packs it into the appropriate boxes; meeting required daily productivity standards while ensuring that work meets quality standards; and/or stocking shelves with product as needed and notifies supervisor of product replenishment needs.
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to supervisor.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to complete tasks without waste.
• Ensures Quality by conducting multiple spot checks during the workday to ensure products meet established standards; and maintains a log of items identified as out of tolerance with established standards.
• Ensures Safety by maintaining a clean and organized work environment, follows safety policies and procedures, and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Education & Experience
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to read and follow documented instructions in English or Spanish.

• Related experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

Packaging - Key: Fast-paced up to 8 hrs/day.
Exposure to loud noise.
Function vision and hearing required.
May participate in HCP.

Packaging - Hand: Light, lifting up to 50 lbs.
