Are you ready to join us? Responsibilities: Conduct collection of existing utilities on site including operation of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) collection equipment.
Inspects and monitors field work activities on a project to ensure utility construction conforms to plans, specifications, and other contract documents Prepare daily and weekly work reports Coordinate and track project submittals, permitting and relocation efforts for multiple utilities project wide.
Develop and maintain utility relocation data project wide.
Conduct on-site visits and review plans to evaluate compliance with rules and regulations.
Coordinate/conduct meetings with contractors, affected parties, utility agencies and municipalities/owners.
Coordination of utility adjustment process for Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) projects including identification of existing utilities, determining conflicts and assisting in development of resolutions.
Review plans, project data, specifications and cost estimates submitted by the utility companies.
Assist with preparation of Standard Utility Agreement Assemblies to include all pertinent data and supporting documentation and coordinate with TxDOT through the approval process and prepare required supplementals and review of reimbursement invoices.
Coordinate with other project technical disciplines as related to utility impacts.
Perform other duties at times as the supervisor may deem necessary.
Requirements: High School graduate with some state-required certification courses Two years of field experience in utility locating or the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) data gathering process.
Additional experience in inspection of utility relocation projects and/or in TxDOT roadway projects preferred.
This role will be hybrid and support multiple locations in Texas.
Special Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individual both orally and in writing.
Strong organizational and coordination skills Knowledge of federal, state, and local utility regulations and codes applicable to transportation infrastructure and utility projects.
Ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment.
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
Understanding of budgeting software/spreadsheets, AutoCAD, 3-D Modeling, and/or MicroStation/Geopak software preferred.
