Estimating
Duties:
- Oversee the estimating process for construction projects, including gathering and analyzing project data, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance bidding opportunities
- Review and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Utilize construction management software to streamline the estimating process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and pricing strategies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, including a strong understanding of pricing strategies and contract negotiations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in order to accurately estimate project costs
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance bidding opportunities
- Knowledge of cost control techniques to maximize profitability
