Garden Center Sales Associate

*Overview:* We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Sales Associate to join our team.
As a Garden Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, plant care, and maintaining the overall appearance of our garden center.

*Duties may include:* - Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in selecting plants, flowers, and gardening supplies.
- Provide expert advice on plant care, landscaping, and floral design.
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center.
- Water plants and ensure they are properly cared for.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking.
- Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays.
- Answer customer inquiries and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Knowledge & Skills:* - Ability to learn about the variety of plants we sell and how to properly take care of them.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Previous experiance using (or the ability to learn) a cash register and handling cash transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Able to work required shift hours/days, including weekends and hollidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work, and a valid State issued driver's license.
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role preferred.
- Knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and floral design preffered.
*Physical Demands:* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms; use hands to handle or feel; talk or hear.
The employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; occasionaly may be asked to climb or balance.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
These demands may vary from day to day and in some cases be greater or lesser than indicated here.
*Work Environment:* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions (including but not limited to: heat, cold , and rain).
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
