Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trailers using various equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers
- Sort and organize freight in the warehouse according to designated areas
- Build and wrap pallets for shipping
- Perform order picking and packing duties as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including OSHA regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or freight handling environment is preferred
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment used in a warehouse setting, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers
- Ability to operate a forklift and obtain necessary certifications if required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions
Skills:
- Proficient in using pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment
- Experience with order picking and packing processes
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet productivity goals
- Strong organizational skills to effectively sort, organize, and build pallets
