Best dog ever.
Mr.
Wolfred Brimley.
(not a wolf) He is around 7 years old.
Around 85-90 lbs.
He had dna testing done and is German Shepherd, Malamute, Husky and Belgian Turvuren with 12% mix.
He was probably a "designer" breed - possibly a BLACK PHASE coloration and may fade to silver.
Mr.
Brimley loves to load up and ride in the truck.
Loves to be brushed and fussed over.
Walks on the leash - but not as good as he should sometimes, he pulls if he is interested in something, so he is a handful at the vets.
He likes his yard and will stay close to home.
But is not great in small, confined spaces (his 10x10 kennel is WAY to small if you ask him) Wolfred wants to be an indoor dog and I believe he is housebroken* bc he will wait as long as possible before he "goes" in his kennel.
(we have cats, so no go in the house).
He does have some *PREY DRIVE* - *NOT GOOD with cats or chickens or other small animals.
(He has brought us some dead gophers and bunnies) He is great with other med/large dogs (don't know about little bitty dogs).
He is a lousy watch dog - doesn't bark, but he does have a language all his own.
He Bellows.
He howls.
He grumbles.
He groans.
I think that he has not only kept the raccoons and possums out of the yard, I think his noises may help keep the coyotes away.
He is a hilarious character and very loving - even though we suspect he was mistreated by someone previously.
If he loves you, he will put up with about anything you want from him.
Even dress up day.
Wolfred is fully vetted.
Up to date on all his shots, on heartworm flea/tick preventative.
Heartworm and parasite negative.
He is very intelligent and likes people - but is loyal to his keeper.
We have never seen any aggressive behavior towards any human.
He is very food motivated.
I will not let him go to just anyone.
I will not rehome him to just anyone.
He has to go to a stable family with a big, secure yard - and some acreage would be my preference.
Again - he's not a watchdog but he is a great companion.
Great to safeguard the yard from varmints.
He can have a trial run to see if it's the right situation.
I will take him back no questions asked if it's not working out.
He deserves a very good life and the right person/people to give it to him.
He is priceless.
Contact me if you have ANY questions.
I will answer them as honestly as possible.
I want him to have his best life ever.
