Supervisor of Support Staff/Consumer Benefits

High school diploma or GED and five years' experience in clinical records; 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities will include supervision of support staff (Consumer Benefits/Fee Specialists)in Tyler and the counties as well as the County Support Lead Staff (who supervises medical records staff in Mineola, Tyler, Athens, and Canton).
Oversees the day-to-day operations of each department.
This position will be accountable for ensuring the accuracy of scheduling, registrations, billing, and collections related to the admissions process.
Will supervise daily patient account receivables, collections, and deposits.
This position will oversee the process flow for the electronic chart system and the efficiency of the Medical Records Department.
Will supervise the release of all PHI and release all subpoena requests that meet HIPAA guidelines.
Will maintain the annual budget departments under supervision by this staff.
Will provide employee performance evaluations and provide staff training.
Will be responsible for interviewing and staffing the departments as necessary.
