As a Supply Chain Manager with expertise in electrical components and experience in R&D buying processes, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations.
You will be responsible for managing the sourcing, procurement, and logistics activities related to electrical components, as well as overseeing the purchasing process for R&D projects.
Your strategic insights and operational leadership will ensure the efficient flow of materials and products through the supply chain while maintaining quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electrical components, including conducting supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure a diverse and reliable supply base.
Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to understand component specifications and requirements.
Optimize procurement processes to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve inventory management.
R&D Buying:
Manage the purchasing process for R&D projects, including coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ensure compliance with Quality Certification purchasing policies and procedures.
Monitor project timelines and deliverables to support purchasing activities effectively.
Communicate with representatives to address any procurement-related issues or inquiries.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive product innovation.
Logistics and Inventory Management:
Interface with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Interface with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and operational factors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product safety, environmental sustainability, and ethical sourcing practices.
Monitor changes in market conditions and industry trends to anticipate potential disruptions and proactively address them.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on electrical components procurement.
Experience with R&D buying processes and familiarity with their purchasing policies and procedures.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Certification in supply chain management (e.

, APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
