Overview: The Distribution Manager oversees all aspects of product distribution, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, efficient scheduling, and effective coordination between departments.
This role involves the management of loading operations, maintaining equipment, coordinating with sales and production departments, managing inventory levels, and leading a team to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities: Manage the loading and/or storage of all products for shipment in accordance with D.

trucking rules and regulations.
Manages the schedule of the repair and maintenance on truck scales and related equipment to the Tyler Pipe Texas yard.
Maintains the Tyler Pipe Texas inventory yard in clean and orderly fashion that aligns with Tyler Pipe environmental policies.
Consults with Tyler Pipe sales and shipping departments on the proper scheduling and disposition of orders to be filled and shipped, as well as shipping requirements and availability of equipment for outbound finished product.
Coordinates with Tyler Production Planning and Purchasing Department to ensure uniform stock levels and adequate inventories on all materials and products.
Acts as liaison for the shipping department, coordinating with others to assure vital services are-rendered and coordinating work between departments on special shipping projects.
Provides leadership to subordinates such as training new and prospective employees.
Directs activities in the areas of supervision, safety, waste prevention, quality, and good housekeeping.
Responsible for the department's processing paperwork and data entry required for shipping products such as printing pick tickets, printing and completing packing slips and shipping verifications.
Uses various software applications such as D365, MS Excel, and mileage software in preparation of these different types of reports.
Submits reports in a timely manner to the appropriate supervisor.
Manage the department's coordination with freight carriers to ensure accuracy of freight charges.
Recommends and/or implements improvements in the Tyler Pipe Texas shipping operations and methods leading toward greater unit efficiency regarding quality, quantity, and cost of operation.
Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of shipping practices and procedures plus knowledge of D.
O.
T.
rules rail loading requirements and regulations.
Five years of proven ability in like work experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to align with Tyler Pipe Company's driving policy.
Proficient in the use of computer systems and communications as well as working knowledge of D365.
Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
