Overview:
The Purchasing Warehouse Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing the purchasing team, and overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure maximum efficiency and internal customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Purchasing Duties:
• Develop and implement a purchasing strategy to meet the company's goals and objectives.
• Review and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Manage and mentor members of the purchasing team.
• Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Select prospective vendors and negotiate contracts based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Evaluate vendors regularly and address any issues that arise.
• Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
• Research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.
• Coordinate with other managers to monitor inventory levels and determine supply needs.
• Ensure the quality of procured items and address any problems that may arise.
• Travel to vendor locations as needed.
• Stay current with purchasing technology trends and oversee purchase and implementation as necessary.
Warehouse Management Objectives:
• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction as the primary goal.
• Develop warehouse operations systems including product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping methods.
• Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and achieve short- and long-term performance goals.
• Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
• Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans to meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Warehouse Management Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily warehouse activities including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
• Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, managing work flow and quality to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Conducts regular meetings with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in purchasing and warehouse management roles.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety regulations.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
